Marketing Administrator

Pizzeria Pezzo is a “scratch-kitchen” restaurant, specializing in Italian cuisine, with a special focus on artisanal coal-fired and Chicago-style deep-dish pizza.  We currently have two locations in the Twin Cities, in White Bear Lake and Woodbury.  We are a family-oriented company, with wonderful hours (COVID hours currently closed Monday’s, Tues-Thurs & Sun 11am-8pm, Fri & Sat. 11am-9pm; normal/non-COVID hours: closed Monday’s, Tues-Thurs 4pm-9pm, Fri & Sat 4pm-10pm) and are looking toward future growth opportunities state and nationwide.

Pizzeria Pezzo is seeking a part-time marketing administrator.  This position has flexible hours, may have the option to work from home from time-to-time, and will help to coordinate, plan, and implement marketing programs for multiple restaurant locations and the company as a whole.

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Support marketing manager and other directors of the company for marketing related needs
  • Assist in the design and development of print advertising (menus, posters, special events, business cards, stickers, advertisements, and requests, etc.)
  • Ensure brand consistency (consistent with Pezzo mission, brand equity, and corporate culture)
  • Review and proof all marketing materials before public release
  • Collaborate with other personnel for menu planning, serving arrangements, and other marketing related projects
  • Develop, execute, and monitor online postings and responses across multiple platforms
  • Respond to online customer inquiries and track/report/diffuse negative restaurant reviews
  • Work to develop and manage internal customer marketing programs
  • Responsible for broad oversight of restaurant rewards program
  • Handle all donation requests and/or donations or giveaways, beginning from initial request and ending with internal financial accounting
  • Research, discover, and manage community involvement opportunities, research areas for opportunity with community events and presence
  • Become involved and act as representative of Pezzo with relevant community organizations; active involvement and attendance of community events as Pezzo representative
  • Manage industry relevant organizations and opportunities; manage membership and or involvement in industry related organizations
  • Field catering and event inquiries; coordinate such catering and events with internal staff
  • Provide best-in-class customer service to external customers for such planning and execution of special events and catering
  • Assist in developing and maintaining updated and detailed price sheet of all products and services for catering/events, for both the guest and for internal record keeping
  • Plan, develop, and/or execute any programs or special requirements for events/catering; coordinate with and assist employees to meet guests’ needs
  • Ensure event room and arrangements are guest-ready prior to events/catering, follow-up with guest and staff concerning the event/catering experience; ensure customer expectations are exceeded; conduct post-event evaluations
  • Prepare/post/communicate weekly schedules to reflect any events/catering



  • Develop and create new and inventive ways to market or establish marketing presence
  • Monitor progress/task list and prioritize marketing projects
  • Research and discover community involvement opportunities that fit with company brand



  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Must have excellent communicate skills, and be able to clearly communicate with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel, guests, marketing liaisons, and business affiliates, in a professional manner
  • Varied availability upon need (event related – occasional evening/weekend)
  • Exceptional customer service, “can do” / positive attitude, outgoing, and approachable
  • Works well with others and excels in a team environment
  • Takes initiative, is independent, resourceful, a problem-solver, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and has the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to meet deadlines; start and complete projects in a timely and efficient manner
  • Proficient with a computer, Microsoft Outlook/Excel/Word, and working knowledge of user interface and administrative aspects of social apps (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TripAdvisor, Yelp, Google Business, TikTok, etc.)
  • Desirable – working knowledge of Adobe related software – Adobe Cloud, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign, etc.
