Welcome to PEZZO (pay-t-zoh)! Our mission is simple: to unite the great culinary traditions of Italy, New York, and Chicago with the freshest ingredients available, to give you an unforgettable dining experience Pezzo per Pezzo (piece by piece).

In our “from-scratch” kitchen, we carefully combine fresh, locally sourced, and organic ingredients into delicious dishes crafted with care and detail. From our house-made mozzarella to our fresh-daily dough and tomato sauces, we prepare each of our meals with the same love and care you would, in your very own home.  This means, it’s more than just about great food!

When you join us for a meal at Pezzo, it feels as if you were getting together with your friends, neighbors, and family. Giving our community a place to eat, drink, and relax is what motivates us to continue creating the best food and environment we possibly can.

Coal-Fired Pizzas

Our artisanal coal-fired pizzas are true to the traditions of New York style pies. It starts with our dough, prepared fresh each day. Then our pizza artists meticulously craft your pizza with tomato sauce and mozzarella — both freshly made in house — and the toppings of your choice. Then, it’s into our authentic coal-fired oven where a blast of 1000-degree heat puffs the crust, melts the cheese, and adds the perfect amount of flavorful char to the crust and toppings.

The roots of New York style pizza go all the way back to the Greek and Roman empires, where fire-cooked flatbreads were topped with oil, cheese, and herbs. Then, in the 1800s, Italian immigrants brought the style we know and love today to America.  

Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza

Our authentic Chicago Deep Dish pizza sticks closely to the original recipe developed in the “Windy City.” Our made-fresh-daily deep-dish pizza dough is hand-pressed into the distinctive black steel deep-dish pans, climbing high up the sides. Then, we fill it with a thick layer of mozzarella, followed by the fillings of your choice — fresh bell peppers, mushrooms, pepperoni, or our homemade whole-fennel sausage.  Finally, it’s all topped-off with a generous helping of our house-made tomato sauce, then baked to perfection — a melty, gooey center surrounded by a perfectly crisp and buttery tasting crust.

Though deep-dish is a more recent pizza innovation, it’s no less delicious than other pizza pies. Developed in Chicago around 1943, deep dish has inspired imitators alike and caused controversy ever since.

Coal-Fired Pizzas

Special attention is taken to artfully prepare our coal-fired artisanal pizzas. Each pizza artist meticulously arranges the toppings, then each pie is hand-turned in our natural coal-fired burning ovens, to produce a picture-perfect pizza with just the right amount of char.

Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza

Our Chicago Deep Dish Pizza’s are truly authentic to the originality of the gold-standard of Chicago-Style Deep-Dish pizza. Our distinctive deep-dish pizza dough is prepared fresh daily, precisely formulated and cooked to produce a delightful crispy crust on the outside, with a slight chewiness on the inside, that has a light buttery flavor. This is sure to satisfy your palate! Together with our specially house-made tomato sauce and rich mozzarella cheese that is lavishly layered beneath the tomatoey surface, we fully believe that you will fall in love with our deep-dish pizza.
